New Hotel Program
PantherExpress Travel Management and Anthony Travel are proud to announce the expansion of the services Anthony Travel provides to the University of Pittsburgh. Effective September 28, 2020, Anthony Travel, in coordination with the University, will provide a managed Hotel Program for all groups, events and individual business reservation that require hotel accommodations. This new program will provide the following benefits:
- Help mitigate risk in the negotiation phase, with Anthony Travel working directly with hotels to obtain the most favorable pricing and terms.
- Increase buying power by leveraging total spend across the University and Anthony Travel
- Provide your department and its guests with discounted accommodations that meet the University’s standards of quality and service.
Anthony Travel’s dedicated PantherExpress Hotel Program Manager, Allison Jones, is now onboard at the University and ready to assist with your area’s hotel contract needs! You can contact Allison directly at: email@example.com or 412-267-7151.
All contracts with any hotel, regardless of dollar amount, must be initiated through Allison. She is responsible for cultivating hotel relationships and managing the overall Hotel Program. Allison has the authority to negotiate agreements on behalf of the University.

We will be directly reaching out to the Business Manager for Responsibility Centers which handle a lot of these agreements to schedule a call to introduce Allison and discuss the program with the appropriate contact(s) in these areas who have processed contracts with hotels through PantherExpress in the past.
While the new Hotel Program is beneficial for planning in-person events as permitted under the University’s Operational Postures, we understand that you may need to consider options such as virtual conferences/events during COVID-19.
