Change Management



The Change Management Committee works diligently with the PantherExpress Team and the SciQuest Team to insure that the PantherExpress System is available to our users as a reliable, secure procurement tool. Our Change program focuses on our end user needs, system efficiency, adherence to University policy and scalability. Our team follows through all consequences for relationships and processes for any potential change to the PantherExpress system. PantherExpress is upgraded three times a year by SciQuest, in addition, features and functionality improvements are implemented throughout the year.

Our Change Management Committee meets monthly to discuss potential system changes. If the CMC agrees to any feature or functionality implementation, the PantherExpress Team thoroughly tests the feature prior to implementation. We will communicate all changes to our end user's via email and will place a message in the organization board of PantherExpress, in addition to listing changes on our change management page. Instructional documentation will be created if necessary. If you have any questions related to change management, please submit an inquiry via the PantherExpress inquiry form.

PantherExpress New Features and Functionality

Auto Return Requisitions with Inactive Account Numbers: The PantherExpress System will no longer auto-reject a requisition if an inactive account number is used. Starting Monday, March 28th, if an inactive account number is used on a requisition, PantherExpress will automatically return the requisition as a draft cart to the person who created it. This will allow you to change the inactive account number, and resubmit the requisition. You will no longer need to recreate the requisition if the system rejected it due to an inactive account number.

System Time Out: If you are inactive in PantherExpress for more than 30 minutes, the system will automatically log you off. This change is being made to bring PantherExpress into compliance with University security and auditing policies. You must be idle in the system for 30 minutes for the system to log you out.

Punchout Items in Favorites:
Users will not be able to place items returned from a supplier’s punchout into a favorites folder. You can still place items into the favorites folder on the suppliers punchout if a supplier has “favorites folder” capability built into their punchout. Users will still able to place hosted catalog items into their favorites folder in PantherExpress.

Log In Screen Logo: There will be a minor change in the appearance of the PantherExpress log in screen. The PantherExpress logo will now appear on the log in screen.
